When ancient peoples practiced inter-tribal marriage, adoption and religious conversion they inevitably were ‘mixed-race’ peoples. Typically such peoples readily marries, adopted and religiously converted outside of their tribe or ethnicity, but were strict about not marrying outside of their religion.
Thus, for example, the ‘Jewish’ Hebrew leaders, after their patriarch Abraham, went back to the Hurrian Kingdom of Mitanni to marry Hurrian wives, because they were of their same religion!!! Their Hurrian wives of Haran (etc.) worshiped the same Supreme Godhead as that of the Jewish patriarch Abraham and his wife Sarah. Thus the Supreme Godhead of the Hurrians was the same Supreme Godhead of the Hebrews and the Jews (and Arabs).
Who were the Hebrews? “The [Yadava] community was formed of four clans, being the Abhira, Andhaka, Vrishni, and Satvatas, who all worshiped Krishna.” ~ WIKI
The Abhira were actually part of KRISHNA’s own family! Nanda Maharaja was an Abhira chieftain. Even more amazing is that the cow-herding Abhiras were described in very ancient census, trade and treaty literatures as the H-P/B-R ‘Hapiru’ (Abhira) which many scholars have identified as the pastoral Biblical Hebrew!
Srimad-Bhagavatam explains this:
kirata-hunandhra-pulinda-pulkasa abhira-sumbha yavanah khasadayah ye 'nye ca papa yad-apasrayasrayah sudhyanti tasmai prabhavisnave namah "Kirata, Huna, Andhra, Pulinda, Pulkasa, Abhira, Sumbha, Yavana, members of the Khasa races and even others addicted to sinful acts can be purified by taking shelter of the devotees of the Lord, due to His being the supreme power. I beg to offer my respectful obeisances unto Him." ~Srimad Bhagavatam 2.4.18
Why would the “Abhiras”, in general, be classed by SRI KRISHNA among the “people addicted to sinful acts”, who never-the-less can be saved due to their surrendering to Him?
Remember the story about Arjuna guarding SRI KRISHNA’s wives, children and cows after the Mahabharata war? A band of Abhiras captured them all! Arjuna was devastated at His failure to protect SRI KRISHNA’s wives, children and herds!
However the Vaishnava Acharyas have explained the hidden meaning of this lila, by saying that SRI KRISHNA in the form of the Abhiras took-away His own wives, children and cows, because Arjuna’s ONE character fault was that He was proud of his physical power and prowess! So to cure him of this terrible fault of mundane pride, SRI KRISHNA first gave Arjuna the task of protecting His family and cows, but then Krishna appeared as His troublesome Abhira Clan relatives, who were known ‘cattle rustlers’ to steal-away His own wives, children and cows!
Now it is very interesting that during the late 1960s and the 1970s when I was studying the primary literary source for extra-Biblical evidence of the Biblical Hebrews, there were two groups that many scholars identified with them. There was an urban group of kshatriya Rosh / Raz / Raja chieftains or head-man ‘kings’ that were identified with the Habbatu or Subartu (later Satraps / Subartu / Spartoi or Kshatriyas) and the other group was pastoralists, the Hapiru (or Abhiru) who were known to be pastoralists and sometimes cattle rustlers!
Thus the Habiru ‘Hebrew’ pastoralists (that I positively identified as at least part of the Abhira Clan of the Yadava Dynasty) were the migratory ‘country cousins’ of the village and city-dwelling Rosh / Raz (Hebrew Raz, Razan, Rosh = Raj, Rajan, Raja) Kings, like the Abhira Vrndavana Village Raja / Raz / Rosh ‘King’ Nanda Maha-Raja!
Because some of the migratory cow-herding Hebrew / Hapiru / Abhiras were famous as cattle thieves, this fact as recorded in history and in the Vaishnava scriptures is an extremely important connection between the Biblical nomadic pastoralist Hebrews and their settled dham / don / town and pura / per / pol / bur city-dwelling Rosh / Raz Raja Kshatria (later Satrapa, Subartu) king relatives.
Ancient literatures that identify the pastoral Hapiru as notorious cattle thieves are no-doubt relating them to the Vaishnava tradition that SRI KRISHNA stole-back and carried-away (see HARI as to ‘carry’ away) His own family and cows from the failed protection of Arjuna.
Thus in Vaishnava Sources, these famously thieving ‘Abhira’ are listed among those tribes
“…addicted to sinful acts…”!

Both the long count calendar of the Yadus and the Jews were very close in agreement on the elapsed time of the current age / Yuga, both of their weeks and lunar cycle calendars generally agreed and their Sacred Saturday Sabbaths to Lord HARYAH / ARYAH Lion Headed KALAH / Time were the same, and they both were Chandra Vamsa (Lunar time keeping) dynasties, with the rather rare matrilineal societies.
The Yadavas
(literally, descended from Yadu) were an ancient Indian people who believed to be descended from Yadu, a legendary king. The community was formed of four clans, being the Abhira, Andhaka, Vrishni, and Satvatas, who all worshiped Krishna. They are listed in ancient Indian literature as the segments of the lineage of Yadu (Yaduvamsha). At various times there have been a number of communities and royal dynasties of the Indian subcontinent that have claimed descent from the ancient Yadava clans and legendary Yadava personalities, thus describing themselves as the Yadavas.
Amongst the Yadava clans mentioned in ancient Indian literature, the Haihayas are believed to have descended from Sahasrajit, elder son of Yadu and all other Yadava clans, which include the Chedis, the Vidarbhas, the Satvatas, the Andhakas, the Kukuras, the Bhojas, the Vrishnis and the Shainyas are believed to have descended from Kroshtu or Kroshta, younger son of Yadu.
It can be inferred from the vamshanucharita (genealogy) sections of a number of major Puranas that, the Yadavas spread out over the Aravalli region, Gujarat, the Narmada valley, the northern Deccan and the eastern Ganges valley. The Mahabharata and the Puranas mention that the Yadus or Yadavas, a confederacy comprising numerous clans were the rulers of the Mathura region. The Mahabharata also refers to the exodus of the Yadavas from Mathura to Dvaraka owing to pressure from the Paurava rulers of Magadha, and probably also from the Kurus.
Yadava kinship system
According to a modern historian, Romila Thapar, the kinship system of the Yadavas shows traces of matrilineal structure, which is found from the mention of their cross-cousin marriages. This is particularly prohibited in the Indo Aryan kinship system. The Vishnu Purana mentions that Krishna married Rukmini, a Vidarbha princess. His son Pradyumna married Kakudvati, daughter of Rukmin, brother of Rukmini. Pradyumna’s son Aniruddha married Subhadra, granddaughter of Rukmin.
What other society has ever had a matrilineal structure? Some of the Western hemisphere tribes had matrilineal and matriarchal societies, as did some Mongoloian tribes that also practiced polyandry like the Pandavas, who all shared the same wife.
The Abhiras / Hebrews were generally the migratory pastoral cowherding relatives of the city-dwelling Yadus who were the Rajas or ruling class of the Yadavas. Thus we see the exact same relationship between the pastoral Hebrews and their Raz / Razan / Rosh fixed town or YIR / PER / POL city-dwelling Raja / Rajan rulers.
Why Is Jewishness Matrilineal?
Maternal Descent In Judaism
By Tzvi Freeman and Yehuda Shurpin
The Code of Jewish Law clearly states that a child of a Jewish mother is Jewish, regardless of the father’s lineage (or whatever else may show up in a DNA test), while the child of a non-Jewish mother is not Jewish. Matrilineal descent has been a fundamental principle of Torah since the Jewish people came into existence.

Now it is very interesting that during the late 1960s and the 1970s when I was studying the primary literary source for extra-Biblical evidence of the Biblical Hebrews, there were two groups that many scholars identified with them. There was an urbangroup of kshatriya Rosh / Raz / Raja chieftains or head-man ‘kings’ that were identified with the Habbatu or Subartu (later Satraps or Kshtriyas) and the other group was pastoralists, the Hapiru (or Abhiru) who were known to be cattle rustlers!!!
Thus the Habiru ‘Hebrew’ pastoralists (that I positively identified as the Abhira) were the migratory ‘country cousins’ of the village and city-dwelling Rosh / Raz (Hebrew Raja) kings, like ‘king’ Nanda Maha-Raja!

Ancient literatures that identifies the pastoral Hapiru as notorious cattle thieves is no-doubt related to the Vaishnaca tradition that SRI KRISHNA stole-back and carried-away (see HARI as to ‘carry’ away) His own family and coed from the protection of Arjuna.
Thus KRISHNA lists these habitually thieving ‘Abhira’ among those tribes
“…addicted to sinful acts…”!
Additionally I traced the Raz / Raja king and warrior class of the tribe / family of the Abhiras / Hebrews to the story of PARASURAMA and the Spartoi of the Greek ‘Spartan’ civilization. The duo kings of the ancient Spartans were KRISHNA (the war king) and BALADEVA as the priest-king. This Greek tradition of SRI KRISHNA as the sacred war-king and the brothers KRISHNA and BALARAMA was associated with KRISHNA-BALARAMA’s theophany ‘appearance of God’ with and as KALKI Avatara in the Septuagint-related Apocrypha of the Jew’s Greek Bible. See the story of Heliodorus in Maccabees. This same Greek Ambassador, Heliodorus, was saved and converted by KRISHNA-BALADEVA and KALKI Avatara (the Trinity!) in the Jews’ Great Temple in Jerusalem (Greek Hiero-Solym).
This Greek ‘Helios’ worshiping tradition of the Spartoi, worshiped SRI KRISHNA and SRI BALADEVA as their ancient ancestral Divine Brother Duo Kings, HERACLES and IPHICLES.
In Greek mythology, Iphicles (/ˈɪfɪˌkliːz/ or /ˈaɪfɪˌkliːz/; Ancient Greek: Ἰφικλῆς Iphikles), also called Iphiclus, was the Maternal half-brother of Heracles and one of the Calydonian boar hunters.
KRISHNA and BALARAMA was associated with KRISHNA-BALARAMA’s theophany ‘appearance of God’ with and as KALKI Avatara in the Septuagint-related Apocrypha of the Jew’s Greek Bible.
Confirming my assertion that the Greek HELIOS-worshiping Spartoi Kshatriyas were tribally related-to and worshiped the same God as the Hebrews, Israelites, Judahites and Jews, there are astounding letters attesting to this fact in the Biblical Apocrypha (Books of Maccabees) itself!
Habiru
[[(sometimes written as Hapiru, and more accurately as ʿApiru, meaning “dusty, dirty”; Akkadian: 𒄩𒁉𒊒, ḫabiru) is a term used in 2nd-millennium BCE texts throughout the Fertile Crescent for people variously described as rebels, outlaws, raiders, mercenaries, bowmen, servants, slaves, and laborers.
1 Hapiru, Habiru, and Apiru
2 Habiru and the biblical Hebrews
Hapiru, Habiru, and Apiru
In the time of Rim-Sin I (1822 BC to 1763 BC), the Sumerians knew a group of Aramaean nomads living in southern Mesopotamia as Habiru. The word Habiru, more properly ʿApiru, occurs in hundreds of 2nd millennium BCE documents covering a 600-year period from the 18th to the 12th centuries BCE and found at sites ranging from Egypt, Canaan and Syria, to Nuzi (near Kirkuk in northern Iraq) and Anatolia (Turkey), frequently used interchangeably with the Sumerian SA.GAZ, a phonetic equivalent to the Akkadian (Mesopotamian) word saggasu (“murderer, destroyer”).
Not all Habiru were murderers and robbers: in the 18th century a north Syrian king named Irkabtum (c. 1740 BC) “made peace with [the warlord] Shemuba and his Habiru,” while the ʿApiru, Idrimi of Alalakh, was the son of a deposed king, and formed a band of ʿApiru to make himself king of Alalakh. What Idrimi shared with the other ʿApiru was membership of an inferior social class of outlaws, mercenaries, and slaves leading a marginal and sometimes lawless existence on the fringes of settled society. ‘Apiru had no common ethnic affiliations and no common language, their personal names being most frequently West Semitic, but many East Semitic, Hurrian or Indo-European.
Areas of reported Habiru activity during the Late Bronze IIA period (based on the Amarna letters corpus)
In the Amarna letters from the 14th century BCE, the petty kings of Canaan describe them sometimes as outlaws, sometimes as mercenaries, sometimes as day-labourers and servants. Usually they are socially marginal, but Rib-Hadda of Byblos calls Abdi-Ashirta of Amurru (modern Lebanon) and his son ʿApiru, with the implication that they have rebelled against their common overlord, the Pharaoh. In “The Conquest of Joppa” (modern Jaffa), an Egyptian work of historical fiction from around 1440 BCE, they appear as brigands, and General Djehuty asks at one point that his horses be taken inside the city lest they be stolen by a passing ʿApir.
Habiru and the biblical Hebrews
The biblical word “Hebrew”, like Habiru, began as a social category, and evolved into an ethnic one. Since the discovery of the 2nd millennium BCE inscriptions mentioning the Habiru, there have been many theories linking these to the Hebrews of the Bible.
As pointed out by Moore and Kelle, while the ʿApiru/Habiru may be related to the biblical Hebrews, they also appear to be composed of many different peoples, including nomadic Shasu and Shutu, the biblical Midianites, Kenites, and Amalekites, as well as displaced peasants and pastoralists.
Scholars such as Anson Rainey have noted, however, that while ʿApiru covered the regions from Nuzi to Anatolia as well as Northern Syria, Canaan and Egypt, they were never confused with Shutu (Sutu) or Shasu (Shosu), Syrian pastoral nomads in the Amarna letters or other texts of the time.]]
This translation of ‘Apiru’ as ‘dusty, dirty’ is completely different from what I was reading in my early 1970s studies of the later 18th dynasty Egyptian ‘Amarna Letters’ and other text and inscriptional references to the two apparent branches of this mixed-ethnicity group of people.
The Kshatriya class of these Hurrian peoples were connected to the Hittite-related ‘Aryan’ Hurrians that worshiped the God HURRI and ruled the Hurrian Kingdom of Mitanni. Some of the earliest ‘Hebrews’ from Jerusalem and Egypt went back to get wives from among the Hurrians of Mitanni, because they were worshipers of their same God! This is recorded in the Bible.
Some of the linguists that were working on the problem of the meaning of the ‘Apru’ or Hebrew name, derived the ‘P/B’ element as related-to the Sanskrit AVA (P / B = V), as in Ava-Tara, meaning one who has crossed-over. Thus they thought that the Hapiru / Hebrews were a people that had crossed-over from somewhere, perhaps from the other side of a river or from the East somewhere. This was consistent with the name of PARASURAMA as ‘CADMUS’ being ‘from the East’.
My reading of the Amarna Letters and the history of the later 18th dynasty of the monotheistic HERU-AUSU-ATEN Pharaoh Akhen-Aten (Eka-Atman ‘one Atman’ an Ekantin (monotheistic) devotee of HARI) clearly evidenced that the reason that Akhenaten did not try to destroy the Hebrew / Abhira revolt in the Levant, was because he was actually religiously allied to them and was relying on them to carry-on his religious tradition after his demise and the over-throwing of his Amarna HERU-AUSU-ATEN revival. He knew that the old Mayavadi powers in Thebes that were responsible for killing his family member(s) were probably going to kill him and the rest of his family and Aten priests too. So he either made a secret alliance with the Abhiras or just refused to send wealth or troops to defeat them!
About CADMUS or PARASURAMA
CADMUS (PARASURAMA) was involved with the CADMUS-DANAE ‘Mythic Round’ that narrated the stories related to the self-destruction of the hyper-militaristic Spartoi (the Yadu family of KRISHNA) who PARASURAMA spared only 5 of, and installed them as the 5 kings of the famous Spartan-ruled sacred cities.
The CADMUS-EUROPA (or DANAE) Mythic Round included the story of the self-destruction or CADMUS-related destruction of all of the hyper militaristic Spartoi, except for 5. These 5 saved Spartoi, He installed as the kings of 5 sacred cities, including Thebes.
CADMUS (as PARASURAMA) was thought to mean “from the East” or ‘Ancient’.
“The etymology of Cadmus’ name remains uncertain.”
“… (in Hebrew, qedem means “front”, “east” and “ancient times”;…”
“Therefore, the complete meaning of the name might be: “He who excels” or “from the east”.”
This article is about the mythological race. It is not to be confused with the inhabitants of Sparta:
In Greek mythology, Spartoi (also Sparti or Spartae) (Ancient Greek: Σπαρτοί, literal translation: “sown [men]”, from σπείρω, speírō, “to sow”) are a mythical people who sprang up from the dragon’s teeth sown by Cadmus and were believed to be the ancestors of the Theban nobility.
In the Bhagavatam, the hyper militaristic relatives of KRISHNA were described as ‘thorns in the side of Mother Earth’!!! These were clearly the dragon’s teeth ‘sown men’ of the CADMUS-EUROPE Mythic Round.
As they were the worshipers of ANANTA SESHA NAGA, they were NAGA dynasts or the ‘Anguiped’ (Erectid) or ‘Snake-Footed’ so-called pre-Olympian ‘Titan’ worshipers of the earlier Earth age.
The late Greek Spartans that were related to the Biblical Hebrews, as documented in the Apocrypha of the Bible, did trace their history to the ‘sown men’ of the CADMUS-EUROPA tradition.
The persistent story of the self-destruction of the Spartoi clearly associates them in two ways with the stories in the Bhagavatam tradition. One is the tradition of PARASURAMA destroying generations of the militaristic Lunar Dynasty kings (of KRISHNA’s family), but saving 5 of them.
The other is the story of the Curse of the Yadus, in which the relatives of KRISHNA kill each other in the ‘Field of Reeds’. This curse involved the iron ball that was used to mock the sadhu, who then cursed the youth of KRISHNA’s clan. That ball was ground down and thrown in the marsh or reeds, where it eventually became the reeds, themselves. These were used by the Yadus to kill each other.
In the Cadmaein version, a stone was thrown into the midst of the Spartoi ‘sown men’ (dragon’s teeth men who were ‘thorns in the side of Mother Earth’), who then beat each other to death.
In both related city-founding versions of the story, there were 5 remaining Spartoi who helped CADMUS in founding and ruling Thebes or 5 sacred cities or city-states.
It is probably that the Hapiru / Abhira related Subartu were what became known as the Spartoi.
Identity: “Subartu may have been in the general sphere of influence of the Hurrians. There are various alternate theories associating the ancient Subartu with one or more modern cultures found in the region, including the Georgians, Kurds and Armenians.”
See previous mention of the Hapirus / Hebrews and the Hurrians.
Note that this Wiki article cities one of the important Amarna letters, EA 108. I studied these letters and other ancient texts and inscriptions back in the 1970s, and repeatedly encountered references to stories, peoples and places that are also mentioned in the Bible and the Srimad Bhagavatam. Some connections are absolutely clear, while others seem to be only derivations or somehow related by association.
Various transliterations of the great king-warrior’s name Abdi-Ashirta seemed to be cognates of Vaishnava king’s name Yudhistir.
Abdi-Ashirta
List of dynasties; List of dynasties Greece
Note the first four…
- These were Anguipedes who worshiped ANANTA SESHA NAGA
- Erechtheid dynasty (1556–1127 BC) – Athens
- Melanthid dynasty (1126–1068 BC) – Athens
- These worshiped HELIOS and the Divine Duo-King Brothers of Sparta, HERACLES and IPHICLES
- Agiad dynasty (930–215 BC) – Sparta
- Eurypontid dynasty (930–206 BC) – Sparta
List of kings of Athens [Earliest kings of Athens]
So the earliest dynasties of both Athens and Sparta were worshipers of the ‘Titan’ pre-Olympic ‘HELIOS’ (the original Heliopolitan Egyptian Supreme Godhead HERU-AUSU-ATUM) and of KRISHNA-BALADEVA as the Brother Duo Divine Kings Sparta. The Erechtheids or Anguipede ‘Snake Footed’ Anga-Naga pun ‘Titans’ were associated with Erech / Uruk or Warka, and the original location of Bab-lyon, the ‘Gate (Bab) of God (EL-ELYON)’.
This Bab / gate / door of EL-ELYON, called Erech, Uruk or ‘Warka’, was clearly confounded or identified with HARI’s capital city Dwarka, the ‘Door’ of Dwarka-ADI-ISHA / Dwarkadisha HARI, KRISHNA, who was the King and Lord ADI-ISHVARA, the Original Lord of the ANANTA SESHA NAGA worshiping YAHU dynasty kings of Dwarka / Warka / Uruk / Erech of the Anguipede ‘snake footed Titan’ (pre-Olympian mythical polytheism ‘gods’).
NAGA (=ANGA)
In this regard I have previously written and shown exactly how the serpent-footed icons and Murtis from all over the ancient world identified the real origin-of the ‘Titans Gods’ and their peoples via the Nama-Rupa Name-Form puns involved in the languages that contained the NG, Naga / Anga pun.
See Sanskrit Anga as ‘limb’, as in Gaura-Anga ‘Golden Limbed’, see Naga in Sanskrit as both serpent and elephant. See Hebrew Nachash, West Semitic Nak in Egypt as in ‘snake’ and Naga in Meroe Africa (south of Egypt). The reason that HEKA and the other pre-Olympian ‘Titan Gods’ have snake-feet is because they were all originally the Anga-Naga (pun) language Vedic Purusha Sukta Rig Vedic creation hymn ‘Gods’ who were actually forms of the one Adi Cosmic PURUSHA.
Modern scholars need to completely re-evaluate their assessment of the world’s most ancient religious traditions. The pre-Olympian ‘snake footed Gods’ the ‘Anguipedes’ were the Vedic ‘Gods’ of the Purusha Sukta, as known to the peoples whose languages had the Anga-Naga pun in it.
Today the NG root of the Anga word is still found in the East in all of its ‘limb’ related words. In modern West, just study the ‘ankle’ and ‘angle’ related words! Then look at the ancient illustrations and Murtis of all of the ‘snake footed’ or limbed deities, especially the ‘Titans’ and HEKA in Egypt, which had serpentine legs or feet or serpents on their ankles or knees!
These Anga-Naga, angle/ ankles and feet pictorial puns also explained why in both Egypt and the East, serpentine Nagas and elephants were both depicted as holding up the planets, including the earth, or the universe. This is because of the exact same pun. In India, for example, both serpents and elephants were called Nagas! The elephant’s distinctive Naga-like trunk was why elephants were called Nagas. In a text or oral tradition snake Nagas or elephant Nagas could be and were confounded.
Hastinapur was the city of elephants & Old Delhi, as Indraprastha the city of Indra, whose famous Vahana was the Naga elephant Airavata, was also, like Hastinapura a ‘Naga-Pura’. See modern Naga-Pura in Kashmir. Many ancient cities throughout Greater India and East Asia were called Naga-Puras. So compare the Biblical ‘lost city of the mystical serpents’ called ‘IR-Nachash’ in the Bible! IR-Nachash is clearly a YIR / PER / POL / PURA / PORE city named Naga-Pura.

PAMHO. AGTSP.
I am in the process of writing a story about the death of Lord Krishna. I am centering it around the conversation between him and the hunter Jara who shot him in the foot. I was hoping to speak with you about that period in Lord Krishna’s life specifically of the Abhiras bandits who defeated Arjuna and kidnapped Krishna’s wives and took his cattle.
Please let me know if you can find the time to speak with me.
Hare Krishna
Your humble servant.
