Bhakti Ananda GoswamiIn general the Vaishnavas of India do not understand their own history, what to speak of the historical relationship of their Sacred Traditions to Shaivism, Buddhism, Jainism, Zoroastrianism and the ancient Heliopolitan Traditions of the Mediterranean Region, including Judaism. Historical myopia dominates the historical vision of all of the sects of Vaishnavism, as well as those groups like the Naths, Bauls of Bengal, Guru Nanak and Saints of the Southern Alvar Bhakti Movement.
My view of Krishna as the Origin of the Vedic Cosmic Purusha and therefore all of the Vedic ‘Gods’ is not based upon the teachings of the Chaitanyaite Vaishnavas or later Bengali Vaishnavism. It is based upon the Mediterranean region evidence that SriSri Radha-Krishna, along with Their Hierophant and Master of Mysteries Yahu-Bal (as Dionysos), were worshiped as the Origin of all of the Heliopolitan ‘Gods’ and ‘Goddesses’. The Cultus of Helios Kouros on Rhodes was pre-historic and connected to the worship of HERU-AUSU in the pre-historic Nile Delta. Heru was the Supreme Father God of the Nilo-Saharan Language Family, the Same Supreme God of the Niger-Kordofanian Language Family, known as OLU. Africans, Europeans and Semites all worshiped this same ONE SUPREME GODHEAD on the Sacred Lotus-Isle of Rhodes!
